How it Works:
- The swimmer has unlimited attempts to cross the pool during the tryout.
- The Assistant Coaches will be in the water to assist swimmers if needed for safety reasons.
- The swimmer is allowed to try out again during Make-up days for additional attempts.
- The Sharks Head Coach makes the final decision on if the swimmer has met requirements for the swim team or should be recommended for the "Shark in Training" program (if age appropriate).
- If an 11 & Up swimmer does not make the team, then the registration fee will be refunded except $35 which is for Insurance during tryouts.
- If a 10 & Under swimmer does not make the team, then they will be given the option to participate in our "Shark in Training" program. Otherwise, the registration fee will be refunded expect $35 which is for Insurance during tryouts.

What happens after Tryouts?
If the swimmer makes the swim team:
- The swimmer can swim that same day at their age group’s regular practice time.
- All remaining days of tryout week, the swimmer swims at their age group’s practice time and does not need to come during make-up tryout time
If the swimmer isn't quite read for the competitive team, they will participate in the "Shark in Training" program:
- The swimmer does not need to return for the remainder of the week.
- The swimmer will start the "Shark in Training" program on Monday, May 4, 2026.
- See SHARKS in TRAINING tab for more details.
